Owner and artisan of Beecher Pottery, located in a rural setting with gas and wood kilns. Selling one of a kind and customized lines of pottery to individuals, galleries and shops.
SUSAN BEECHER - BIOGRAPHY
Susan Beecher is a nationally recognized ceramic artist and workshop leader whose work is consistently accepted into national juried exhibitions, most recently at the Yager Museum of Hartwick College in New York State and Baltimore Clayworks, Maryland.
"Susan Beecher Woodfired Pottery" published in October 2005 by the Catskill Mountain Press, documents her work and woodfiring methods. Her work is also included in seven other books as well as in numerous magazines.
She is currently Head of Ceramics at Sugar Maples Center for the Arts,WIndham, NY and teaches at Old Church School of Art in Demarest, NJ and other art centers throughout the Northeast and Florida.
Beecher maintains a studio in the Catskill Mountains where she built and now fires her Wood-Kiln.
